I cant believe indeed has no edit functions for posting topics and responses. Anywayscontinuation from above. There is no maximum age for flight attendents (no age restrictions via the faa). However, keep in mind that eventhough you might have no legal age restrictions, the ultimate question is, will they actually hire an "older" applicant? airlines are obcessed with hiring only "attractive people. " and again, however, "appearance discrimation (or however one would like to describe it)," is extremely hard to prove. In fact, id say any type of descrimination is almost impossible to prosecute/prove. Unless, of course, someone is "recorded", "filmed (etc. )" expressing unfavorable opinion-s of a candidate based on age, sex, nationality, and does not get hired. One has to be a cia agent and/or a private detective, to get that sortof information. But most people are not cia/private investigator agents, etc. Lolzzzz. So basically, the airlines (or any company) gets away with alot of illegal bul^%$&$. But i wish you much luck dont give up. !!! also, you "might" be more successful with foreign airline companies, where being "american" might peak their interests more then say, "southwest" or some airline like that. Also, learning fluency in a foreign language, possessing a current "advanced first aid" cert. , and/or being a qualified emt (that only takes 2 semesters) can only make you look better to these airlines. Basically, working on building your skills base in alot of related tasks, etc. Can only make you look "more qualifed" then that other guy/gal that wants the same job. Also, the "corporate jet industry" is always looking for flight attendents more frequently then one realizesand, of course, there are also ticketing and ramp work postions that seem to have a rather consistant demand.
Finally, the faa is always looking for people (its not just the control tower, etc. ), and the faa actually has (last time i checked) an "interline" agreement. Most people do not know that. (faa personnel can fly for free). Anyhoostake care, mac.

Airlines look for applicants who are fluent in english, have good communication skills, and have some previous employment experience. Foreign language skills can be a great asset, and are even required on certain international flights. Applicants also must be eligible to work in the united states if they’re applying with a united states-based airline; canadian airlines require applicants to be eligible to work in canada.
